Is your A.B.S Signal On?

Sis, is your A.B.S. signal on?

Not the one on your car dashboard—though it works the same way.

When a warning light comes on, you don’t shame the car.

You pay attention… because something needs care.

Burnout is like that. It’s a signal—not a reason for shame.

If you’re tired even after rest…

If you can’t fully exhale…

If you’re functioning but not really living…

Your A.B.S. signal might be on.

Burnout doesn’t always look like falling apart

Sometimes burnout looks like being impressive:

still producing, still dependable, still praised…

while privately running on fumes.

And here’s the part we don’t say out loud:

High-performing women don’t ignore signals because we’re careless. We ignore them because we’re responsible.

The A.B.S. Signal Reset

When you feel the burn, go A.B.S.

A — Audit what’s draining you.

Not just your to-do list—your total load.

What is costing you mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically?

B — Build one boundary that protects your body.

One small boundary you can keep.

A hard stop time.

A real off day.

A no-email window.

S — Support.

Not just strategy.

Because burnout doesn’t heal with information alone—it heals with support.

A quick reset (right now)

Inhale… exhale…

Say quietly: I can answer the signal.

And whisper this: I don’t have to earn rest. I deserve rest.
